About me
- Where I liveI live on the East side of London. I really love London, having moved here from Australia about 3 months ago. London is such a happening place, with so many friendly amazing people. It seems that everyone in London has travelled extensively and so many people have amazing stories to tell. Before I moved here I had heard pretty bad reports about London but I have found that pretty much everyone I met has been friendly, helpful and nice.
- Where are you originally from?I'm originally from a small island off the coast of Australia. It's amazing how different the lifestyle can be but at the same time so similar. Growing up the surf was king and we spent all day at the beach, but as I grew up I wanted to see more of the world and understand what life was like elsewhere.
- Do you want to stay there?I'm not really sure where I want to live. At times I can be quite mixed, I miss the relaxing lifestyle of Australia but love the fact paced amazing action of London. I have done some travelling and will probably do much more before I finally settle down.
- What is your occupation?In Australia I study law at university, I also work as a Paralegal at a large law firm. In London I've been working as a Legal Assistant in a law firm but have taken a much needed break from studying. There is a career in the future but not quite yet.
- What have you done so far?In the past I've worked in different legal firms doing jobs here and there. I've done it all from typist, to photocopying to running cases. Before that I worked in a supermarket which was a sweet job. I think if you like the people you work with you will always enjoy a job a lot more.
- What are your future plans?My life is amazing, I sometimes wonder if I'm the luckiest person in the world. I'm really positive and everytime I seem to need something in life it has a way of providing it to me. I've always had great friends, I've never run out of money (came close though) and I've met amazing people along the way. I'll probably stay in London until my Visa runs out then onto Canada for more work.
- Your perfect partnerAh the old question of the perfect partner. I am not particular about the type of person I am with, I don't require them to be a certain height, a certain weight or earn a certain amount of money. A truly beautiful girl has an aura about her that can't be judged by numbers. My perfect partner is a kind person with a cute smile, shes not afraid to let her guard down but is proud and will not let anyone walk over her. Shes gentle and has an interest in the world around her. Shes aware that small tiffs between group of friends mean nothing and takes an active interest in literature, music and discovery.
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?I enjoy good times and good friends. I like going out with friends, discovering new places, listening to new music, meeting new people and planning grand adventures that can lead to a whole lot of trouble. I love surfing and jogging and enjoy going out for dinner. I'm a sucker for a good movie and love a good night in with good company.
- MusicI have an obsession with live music. I'm ridiculous, I insist on seeing every band I can live. I try to find the beauty in all music I listen to and truly believe that good music is not confined to one particular genre but is instead found in the sincerity of the person creating it. On this point I believe that music should not take itself too seriously.
- Your fav tv seriesI was born in the 80's so I dare say that the Simpsons will fall into this category with most people my age. I'm also a sucker for the Office and have been enjoying the Mighty Booch since I got here, I also like a show called Peep Show. English TV is a lot better than people made it out to be. Oh I really dislike soaps like Home and Away and Neighbours, on behalf of Australia I would like to apologise for them and the things they have done a.k.a Kylie
- Your fav books/authorsI try not to allow myself to fall into the trap of reading books by the same authors but at times I do, I'm a sucker for a good crime novel and have embarrasingly read the Harry Potter books, I really enjoyed them though. I think its important to read books, they broaden your mind and your imagination.
- What sort of movies do you like?I love a good 80's flick. Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid, Back to the Future, love them. I think I'm a comedy person but I love seeing all films. I don't mind the odd musical as long as it's done well.
- Types of people you like?I get along well with positive people, I love to listen, I love to hear peoples stories, right now there are millions of people on this earth that have amazing stories I haven't heard. I also get along with people who are into music, arts or generally the world. I seem to get along with educated people generally but not necessarily schooling educated, just those which are willing to take a step back from everything and not judge but observe.
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Appearances will alway mean something, I don't think anyone can honestly say it doesn't matter what their partner looks like, but instead I think the most beautiful thing in a girl, is a good smile and cute eyes.
- FoodI love eating! I love going out for dinner, I try and be really healthy but at times fail miserably. I guess its lucky I'm still young and I exercise a lot otherwise I think I'd be a lot bigger!
- DrinksI'm not going to lie to you, I love a good beer. I wouldn't consider myself an alcoholic but I'm young so drinking is definately on the cards. I try not to wipe myself out though, intead preferring to be social.
- HolidaysI love travelling! I'm kind of new to it but I've travelled to Hawaii, Canada, Germany and now the U.K. I have a trip planned to Dublin, and will be going down to the Running of the Bulls this year. I also want to work the ski season in Canada very soon. I would love to meet someone who would love to travel and see new and exciting things.
- PetsI love dogs, I grew up with dogs and when I buy my own house I want to own a dog.
- Fav thingI try not to place too much emphasis on possessions, I do however love my guitars, they are in Australia at the moment but I miss them.
- Fav PlaceIn Australia, near the Sunshine Coast there are these beautiful mountains, if you hike into them they have a whole bunch of secluded waterfalls. It's the most beautiful place on earth.
- What's your favourite radio station ?Don't listen to the radio, IPOD all the way.
- What's your favourite drink?Milo- it's a chocolate drink you can buy in Australia.
My attitude
- Family lifeRight now I'm not really thinking about having a family, one day I might want to have children but not sure at this stage, I guess it depends on who I meet and we can talk about it then.
- Jobs&WorkingRight now I'm travelling so my job is not super important, when I finish my law degree it will be important to me, but not the most important thing in my life. I don't want to be on my deathbed and feel I spent my whole life working.
- MoneyMoney doesn't mean a lot to me, it's important and its nice to have some of it but I would never choose money over another person. I want to do well in my career and earn a decent amount of money but thats not because I'm driven by money but instead by being the best person I can be.
- PoliticsI'm quite interested in politics. I think it's important to understand why decisions are made and why your life is the way it is. People died for your right to vote and to choose who helps control your life and I'm not going to give that up because I'm lazy.
