About me
Heya! Looking for friendly people to chat with, meet new people, mostly friendship. Please feel free to drop me a message. Oh, and if it ain't too much trouble, I'd love if you clicked that lil '5 star' button for me, loves. Thanks! xx ;) p.s. A word of advice. I'm not your 'sweetheart', your 'baby', your 'sugar' your 'huni', or your 'babes'. Think before you waste your time and mine as last time I checked, I was not James Cromwell's pig ;).

About me
- Where are you originally from?Austin, Texas, USA
- What is your occupation?Student at University
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?I love doing practically everything. I have been practicing the japanese martial art of Aikido for many years, I paint and do some photography manipulation for kicks. I love reading even though I am a slow reader when it comes to books, movies of all styles/types, played the bassoon for six years, piano for one, percussion/snare for one, and sang opera for one. I also know how to knit, but only a simple scarf, which is fine for football >) Also, I have an secret, unabashed love for parliamentlive.tv and love a full House -snicker-.
- MusicI love all types of music and KARAOKE! *yay* Even when I don't know any of the words and mistakingly think I know the tune, I still dance and sing like a goof ;D.
- Your fav tv series(also MINI series): Life On Mars, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI, Doctor Who, The Triangle, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Jeeves & Wooster, Hound of the Baskervilles, Horatio Hornblower, Marple, Macgyver, Slayers, P.D. James series, Cowboy Bebop, Merlin, Inspector Morse/Inspector Lewis *yay*, Prime Suspect, Eureka, Robin Hood (BBC), Azumanga Daioh. I don't really have a lot of time to watch tv, so I simply switch the sci fi channel on and let it run its course.
- Your fav books/authorsInspector Morse, Master and Commander Series, Henry VIII, Hound of the Baskervilles, pretty much anything Sherlock Holmes, Star Wars Jedi Apprentice Series *long live Qui Gon Jinn!*, Martin the Warrior/Mossflower, Running Out of Time, Directing Actors, The Art of Screenwriting, The Director, The Brothers Karamazov, The Importance of Being Ernest, Murder at the Cathedral, The Yellow Wallpaper, The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Art of Peace, Wellington and Napoleon, The Rover *woot*, and Les Miserables. I've been thinking about getting into the 'Horatio Hornblower' series, but I think one naval series is enough to keep straight at the moment... [HAD I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet, Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.-- W.B. Yeats]
- What sort of movies do you like?Too Many To Count... Mhm, just a few, I guess. The Hunt for Red October, Jurassic Park, Die Hard, Van Helsing, Three Amigos, Pirates of the Caribbean I & II, Master and Commander, Nothing, Cube, Les Miserables (w/ Geoffrey Rush), The Greatest Game Ever Played, Batman, Laurel & Hardy, Stargate, L4yer Cake, Le Transporteur I & II, A Knight's Tale, Gangster No. 1, Lock Stock, The Great Escape, Bridge Over the River Kwai, Kenneth Branagh's Frankenstein, The Illusionist, Chugoku no Chojin, Sanjuro, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and, of course, The Talented Mr. Ripley. Also, Lost City of Children, Shawshank Redemption, A Dog's Breakfast, Fireworks (Hanabi), Pan's Labyrinth, Amelie, Hot Fuzz *one of my favourites! ;D*
- Types of people you like?Someone who doesn't send me a preliminary message filled with 'luv 2 talk 2 u' and isn't completely void of punctuation. Whatever happened to first impressions anyways? And when did 'babe' become a flirtatious term again? What am I, James Cromwell's pig? ;)
- FoodI can cook...marginally. I'm mostly a baking sort of person whose pumpkin pies take six hourse to make as I fix them by scratch, crust and all *looks smug for no apparent reason*. I am willing to try everything once, but I am mainly a meat, starch and bread woman. A good bowl of potato soup, some toast and a nice cuppa tea is all I really need. ...now I've made myself hungry, ha ha.
- Drinks"I could drink every one of those toe-rags under the table and still stop off for a pint on my way home." The Gene Genie never lies ;)
- HolidaysChristmas is my favourite holiday because that means I'm on my month-long winter vacation *rofl*. I absolutely love spending a cold, winter evening decorating the mantle and the tree with those I love while drinking egg nog and making a mess with all of the packaging peanuts. I think I actually like the days right before Christmas than the actual day because although getting presents is nice, I cherish the time I spend with everyone so much more. I can always get stuff later, but it is then that you make many special memories. Second only to Christmas? Thanksgiving, because you can eat as many servings of turkey and stuffing and gravy and cranberries and pecan pie and, and, and....great, now I'm hungry again ^_^;.
- PetsI have a cat, but she's with the parental units. I love both cats and dogs, but I think I am a little too lazy to own a dog. If I wasn't, I would want a golden retriever.
- What's your favourite tv station ?BBC1, BBC4, Sci Fi Channel and parliamentlive.tv
- What's your favourite drink?Cranberry Juice. Georgian wine. Guinness.
- What's your favourite food?A tough choice. Hm. I would have to go with Pad-See-Ew (a thai egg noodle dish), but I've got a pretty wide range. Does Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream count? ha ha.
My attitude
- Family lifeI have a very strong and trusting relationship with my parents. I love them very much and talk with them weekly.
- Jobs&WorkingMy job is what I love. I could not see my self doing any other profession and am very happy to do what I do.
- MoneyI have a hard time spending money, not because of a lack, but for some reason it would rather be safe in my pocket rather than burn a hole through it.
- PoliticsI have a liberal mindset, but I am not close-minded and take discussion from all spectrums. I am not very hard-core about politics, but I find that I am moralistically aligned to a more civil freedom, yet firm justice temperment. So, I guess you could say I'm New Labour, but I believe the Tories have valid points. Sometimes ;)
